(More customer reviews)My 3-year-old and I had so much fun painting this, assembling it, and playing with it. We used watercolor paints, which did make the cardboard a bit soggy at first, and we were too impatient to wait until it dried completely to assemble it (probably unwise - I do recommend you wait for it to be completely dry, because if not the cardboard is to soft and could break, although ours did not). Then we played with it with some felt animals we already had. My son kept saying, "We made this treehouse, Mommy!" I loved how it encouraged him to move his hands slowly and carefully while positioning the animals - fine motor skills training! You can't tell from the picture that there's a small hole in the roof which leads to the stairs - my son's fav activity right now is to drop his smaller animals through the whole and watch them coming tumbling down the stairs.
Forgot to mention that the treehouse is very cute and looks lovely hand-painted in watercolors - very easy and fun!
